Many many years ago, in a country on the opposite side of the earth, my mother was the first child in the house.  And a girl no less. An unwanted girl.  Disappointed, her parents (my grandparents) tried again and again and again to have a boy.  But all were girls, and a ‘shame’ to the family.  To my grandparents, girls didn’t matter. My mother was not allowed to advance her studies or work meaningful jobs.

But a generation later, my mother had a daughter.  And now I was considered her true blessing. She wanted me to succeed where she wasn’t able to.

 

 

35 years later, overcoming health issues to have my daughter was a true miracle.

 

However, there were and still are moments in history where the world is cruel, specifically to girls.  What world am I bringing my daughter into?  Will it be a world that’s known to make girls doubt themselves?  Will it be a world where girls have to question whether or not they could achieve anything?

I had to act. I was determined to guide her. This passion inside of me rose to the surface so I could foster my daughter’s confidence and worth. I was fired up. I knew I may not be able to control the entire planet, but what I CAN do is create a little world where she can be strong … have a voice … and make a mark.

 

And this is where KAgirls was born. All the stories I tell her are not just for her;  it’s for all the girls in the world.

 

STORIES WE TELL theKAgirls.

 

theKAgirls is an initiative to unite young women with an unbreakable bond of strength so that they can raise their voices.  We are to foster positive, fearless and overall good human beings across all races and nationalities.  This site will offer IMAGINATIONS, STORIES, and ACTIONS, because everything girls do counts, everything girls do matters, and every experience KAgirls have is connected.  Our goal is to make a real difference and to foster positive changes in the world through theKAgirls.

 

IMAGINATIONS include elements meant to inspire and entertain.

 

STORIES are about real-life KAgirls who do amazingly positive things, large and small, because it all makes a difference in the world.

 

ACTIONS include spreading positivity to the world through acts.  This includes sharing stories and completing theKAgirls tasks and challenges.  And as theKAgirls wear items from our SHOP the world gets to see where the fearless girls are achieving.   Plus, a portion of every sale goes towards charitable groups focusing on the growth and success of girls around the world.  With a purchase, you are part of the initiative.  You are fostering change in the world.

 

 

Let’s face it.  We all know an amazing, fearless girl.  Is it your daughter? Granddaughter?  Sister?  Mother?  Grandmother?  Aunt?  Friend?  Yourself?  Be part of theKAgirl initiative.  What story will you tell?
